The twelfth edition of the festival honoured Chico Serra and featured a variety of artists, including renowned jazz musicians emerging from Cape Verde and other parts of the world. In addition to the centrepiece concert, Mindel Summer Jazz has offered other activities, such as Mindel Summer Júnior, Alta Lua Jazz Connection, Master Class, among other activities that have helped national artists interact with international artists.
The festival has already taken place on several stages and this time the Liceu Velho square, which is practically in the centre of the city, hosted the twelfth edition. The event takes place during the summer and is known for celebrating jazz music in a relaxed and festive atmosphere.
