The momentum for TEDx Mindelo 2024 began with a dinner held on November 18 at The Casamarel Restaurant in Mindelo. For the second consecutive year, this welcoming event gathered speakers, partners, and participants in a warm and inspiring atmosphere, perfectly aligned with the theme of this edition: "Unindo Fronteiras, Despertando Mudanças" (Bringing Boundaries Together, Awakening Change).
A Tradition Taking Shape
The restaurant The Casamarel, built by the Gomes family, embodies a deep commitment to education and community development. By hosting this dinner for the second time, the venue highlights the strong connection between TEDx Mindelo and the values of sharing, inclusion, and reflection that define it. The dinner also provided an opportunity for Laisa Martins Rodrigues Vieira, Adilson Neves, and Laura to strengthen their ties, further consolidating the collaboration between TEDx Mindelo and local actors involved in the cultural development of São Vicente.
An Evening Focused on Ideas and Exchanges
The guests enjoyed a delicious dinner prepared by Chef Lala and her team.
The goal of the evening was to connect the participants by allowing them to switch seats during the meal and converse with different guests. This approach encouraged spontaneous and enriching exchanges, furthering TEDx Mindelo’s mission of uniting ideas and opening horizons.

After this successful evening, attention now turns to November 20, the day when TEDx Mindelo 2024 will fully come to life.
